The Silent Majority Has Spoken

On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Donald J. Trump was elected the 47th President of the United States. He becomes only the second president in history, after Grover Cleveland, to serve two nonconsecutive terms. Yet, this historic achievement is not the only significant moment from this past election day. Perhaps more importantly, the great Silent Majority of Americans have spoken, decisively rejecting the woke liberal agenda that has weighed heavily on the nation for the past four years.

Who is the Silent Majority, you might ask?
The Silent Majority is composed of hardworking men and women from every background, race, religion, creed, and social class. They embody the values of a once-dominant American culture that transformed this country from untamed frontier lands into a global powerhouse—militarily, economically, and culturally—especially since the end of the Second World War.

These are the people who rise each morning and go to work, whether they feel like it or not. They put in long hours to pay their bills, provide for their families, and keep a roof over their heads. They guide their children through their education, fostering learning and moral responsibility. They form tight-knit communities, offering help to their neighbors without expecting anything in return. They pay their taxes, trusting those funds will support the infrastructure and systems that keep the country thriving. They believe in God—or, at the very least, a higher moral order that spiritually blesses and unites us all. They are the bedrock of any civilized society.

And they are angry.
They are angry that a full-time job no longer covers rent, a mortgage, or groceries due to rampant inflation. They are angry that schools prioritize teaching diversity, equity, and inclusion over foundational skills like reading, writing, and arithmetic—or practical life skills. They are angry that their communities are overrun by migrants who resist assimilation, leading to unsafe, crime-ridden streets. They are angry that their hard-earned tax dollars are squandered on freeloaders and individuals who despise everything about America except the handouts. They are angry at being persecuted for their beliefs, including truths as basic as recognizing two sexes (male and female) and acknowledging that only biological women can gestate and birth children.

This cold anger has been simmering for years, but it erupted with clarity and purpose this past Tuesday.

Donald Trump and the MAGA movement have channeled this anger—not into destructive rage but into constructive action. Trump’s decisive victory, along with GOP gains in the Senate and House, has sent an unmistakable message to the establishment: the great Silent Majority will no longer endure the abuse it has suffered, not just over the past four years but arguably for more than a decade. No longer will the Silent Majority remain silent. Now is the time for the Silent Majority to govern.

Now is not the time to gloat or rest on laurels.
It is time to pick up our tools and begin the work of repairing the decades of damage inflicted on this once-great nation. It is time to welcome all Americans into the fold of the Silent Majority and work together to restore the United States to its rightful greatness.
